At 41 weeks 4 days pregnant, I thought I’d be pregnant forever! He was my fourth baby and I just assumed he’d be born around his due date like my other three. When Hailey came to my house for my check-up we discussed the many risk factors stacking up as time went on and made a plan for a hospital induction if this babe didn’t come on his own before that Monday. I started mentally preparing for that.
As soon as Hailey left my house I felt my surges change and I KNEW we’d have a baby soon! I called to let her know and she turned around and came back to start setting up.
As the birth team arrived I couldn’t help but feel completely shocked that this was actually happening! I felt so incredibly relaxed and cared for. After 9 amazing hours of dancing, laughing, relaxing, and some serious concentrating I was able to beautifully birth my sweet Reid Fisher with complete amazement! 10lbs 2oz, 21″ long at 8:37pm surrounded by the most amazing birth team!
